<p>Dr Adrian graduated from the University of Nottingham (UK) with a double degree in Bachelor of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS).</p> <p>He returned to Singapore to work and completed the Family Residency training in 2018. Being trained in Family Medicine, he has rotated through the fields of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Children’s Emergency and Adult Medicine. He obtained his Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine and completed a course in Andrology in 2020. He founded Babysteps Medical, a house call service, in 2019, after having his first child. Dr Adrian experienced firsthand the difficulties and worries in making a trip to the doctor with a newborn and postpartum mother.</p> <p>Babysteps Medical was created to alleviate these obstacles to make parenthood and access to medical care a smoother stress-free process. To ensure he is providing quality care to his patients, he advanced his knowledge and skills to be a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and complete a Graduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Health. During his years as primary doctor in Babysteps Medical, he has seen many of his patients grow from newborn to toddlers and beyond, which brings him uttermost fulfilment.</p> <p>His genuine affection for children shows through in his comfortable interaction and skilled examination of them. He is committed to care of each individual and believes that the consult does not end when the visit does and follow up is just as important. His friendly yet confident demeaner makes him likable to children, parents and grandparents! As he is always trying to improve on the services he can provide to his patients, he established Babysteps & Beyond Child & Family Clinic to be able to provide the same quality care to the whole family. Through his services, he hopes to build a rapport and bridge the gap between patient and doctors.</p>

<p>Dr Shu Fen obtained her Biomedical Science degree in Australia, which cemented her interest in medicine, and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in Australia, then returned home to Singapore to be close to family. Many hospital rotations later, she found herself drawn to family medicine as she wanted to be able to treat the young to old and have meaningful lasting relationships with her patients.</p> <p>She joined the SingHealth Residency program and completed her Masters of Medicine in Family Medicine. She has a wealth of experience from working in a range of hospital departments including Emergency departments (Child & Adult), Obstetric & Gynaecology and Geriatric departments. Before Babysteps & Beyond, she worked in Singhealth Polyclinics as an Associate Consultant Family Physician. Aside from her medical duties, she led and ran the Dementia clinic and Telemedicine services in her clinic, and often conducted teaching for medical students and colleagues as Clinic Academic Lead.</p> <p>Her two children introduced her to the challenges of motherhood and inspired her to want to support fellow mothers better in their postpartum time and help them navigate the intricacies of raising a child. She became a certified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Health. She strives to be an approachable and dependable family physician that you can bring your whole household to. She believes in practical holistic medical care, with treatment and goals tailored to each patients’ specific needs and wants in life.</p>

<p>Dr. Jessica believes dental care for children should be gentle, informative, and, above all, fun. Comfortable with seeing children from newborn onwards, she places a strong emphasis on the importance of prevention.</p> <p>Whether it’s your child’s first dental visit or a routine check-up, Dr. Khong is committed to addressing any dental issues with a gentle touch, ensuring that children leave with a smile and a positive impression of dental treatment. Dr. Khong is not just a highly skilled paediatric dentist; she’s also a mother to two young children. This unique perspective makes her deeply empathetic to the challenges and joys of parenting. She knows firsthand how daunting dental visits can be for both parents and children and strives to make dental visits welcoming and stress-free.</p> <p>Her approach to dental care is rooted in communication and rapport. Dr. Khong enjoys engaging in conversation with her patients and their parents, making every effort to be relatable and understanding. Her goal is to build trust and confidence with each visit, encouraging a positive attitude towards dental health from an early age.</p>

<p>Nurse Kim is a senior nurse with years of experience in Pediatric as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology departments.</p> <p>She is skilled with various procedures from working in Pediatric High Dependency and Intensive Care Units. Her personable and gentle character matched with her proficient skills won her the Singapore Health Service Quality Award Silver (2020) and Gold (2022). She has a soft spot for kids but is ever ready with a smile and a helping hand for all!</p>
